Local Halloween Happenings

There are a lot of fun Halloween Happenings that will soon be going on here in the Grand Valley. I am happy to see so many places still treating the kids and making their Halloween Special. I have compiled a list of all the events that I have seen listed so far and will continue to add to this list as I find more fun spooky events, so keep checking back regularly! We don’t want you to miss out on any of the fun!

Crossroads United Methodist Trunk and Treat

Crossroads United Methodist Church will be hosting a Trunk and Treat. There will be games, prizes, a pumpkin patch and lots of candy! October 31st from 3-5pm.

First United Methodist Fall Harvest Festival

First United Methodist Church will be hosting a Fall Harvest Festival on October 25th @ 2pm. They will have a trunk-or-treat, hayrides, cakewalk, crafts, games, and so more. This is a FREE event, however, donations are graciously accepted.

Halloween Eve 4×4 TRUCK or TREAT

Adrenalin Driven Adventures is hosting a 4×4 Style Trunk or Treat this year. It is a Free Family Event. All ages are welcome! To participate you can decorate any off road vehicle and/or trick or treat. Don’t forget to also vote for your favorite decorated off road vehicle. There is also a costume contest! This night is sure to please! October 30th @ 5:30 – 7pm!

Mesa Mall Candy Crawl

Mesa Mall will still be hosting their annual Trick or Treat Street. This year it will just be a bit different.

Stop by Mesa Mall on October 31st from 12-2 to participate in their Trick or Treat Street, Drive thru style!

Cattlemen’s Bar & Grill

Cattlemen’s Bar & Grill in Loma is having their 1st Annual Trunk or Treat on October 31st from 2pm-6pm!

Newly Added – Lowe’s Curbside Trick or Treating

Stop by the Lowe’s website and sign up for the Lowe’s Curbside Trick or Treat event! Kids will receive a bag of treats as well as a small pumpkin!

Moon Farm

Moon Farm is gearing up for the Halloween season with hay rides, shaved ice, petting zoo, haunted attractions, pumpkin patch, and so much more! Admission is $7/person, 3 and under is Free. The extra fun celebration is on October 2, from 10am-7pm!

Downtown Palisade

Downtown Palisade with still be hosting their Touch a Truck Trick or Treating event. Mark your calendars for Friday October 30. from 3-6pm.

Canyon View Vineyard Church

Canyon View Vineyard Church will be hosting a Trunk-or-Treat on October 31st from 3-5 PM.

Botanical Gardens

Strive & Botanical Gardens have partnered this year to offer Fall at the Gardens: Harvest Illuminated. Get your tickets in advance to see this years outstanding pumpkin sculpting. Tickets are sure to go fast!

Haunted Bayou

Haunted Bayou haunted house is located on Patterson Rd and is sure to be a hit with those who like anything scary!

Picture Show

Picture Show has a great line up of Halloween Movies you can see on the big screen!


970CoalRollers is having their first ever Truck of Treat! October 24th from 6:30-8:30!

Highline State Park

Highline State Park is having their first annual Owl-oween on October 31 from 10am-12pm. You will have a blast learning about local Owls and Bats as well as hear some spooky stories, Hay Rides, Games, Crafts and so much more!

Fruita Truck N’ Treat

Fruita is still hosting their annual Truck N’ Treat on October 24th from 9-12. But this year it will be drive thru style! Don’t forget to register!

Museum of the Mountain West

Museum of the Mountain West is looking for individuals to dress up at Ghouls, Ghosts and more for their Ghost Tours! All Ages are welcome!

Inspire Dance Company

Inspire Dance Company is hosting a Trunk or Treat event at their Dance Studio located at 2487 Industrial Blvd on October 31 at 4pm. Admission is Free However there is a very small charge for Booths and Games. All proceeds will go to their dance company.

Talbott’s 4th Annual Pick ‘Em & Carve ‘Em!

Talbott’s is having their annual Pick ’em & Carve ’em on October 31st from 1-3 and then again from 3-5. Cost is $10 per child and they will have drinks, treats, hay rides and of course pumpkin decorating!

Studt’s Pumpkin Patch

Studt’s is open! Don’t miss out on this years corn maze, games, pumpkins, rides and so, so much more!

Grand Valley Power

Feel Free to stop by Grand Valley Power anytime from 9am – 5pm on October 29th or 30th. They will have pre-packaged goodies for the kids including glow sticks & bracelets. Please feel free to dress up! They would love to see your fun costumes!

Fruita Downtown

Fruita’s Downtown & Southside will be hosting Trick or Treat Street on October 30th from 3pm-6pm!
