Painted Lawn Stars

Did you know that Home Depot has some fun paint that you can use on your lawn? The 4th of July is a great time to play around with marking paint and paint some fun patriotic stars on your lawn!

  • Red, White and Blue Marking Paint
  • Star Stencil
  • X-acto Knife
  • Large piece of cardboard

First off, I was able to find the perfect size star at Walmart. Just a plain wooden star that I traced onto a Hot Tomato Pizza box. As if I needed to have an excuse to eat Hot Tomato! Yum!

  1. Trace your star onto your large piece of cardboard.
  2. Use an X-acto knife and cut the star shape out of the cardboard.

3. Once the star shape is cut out, you’re all set. Just lay the cardboard down where you would like your stars to be painted and start painting as directed on the paint can.

I love how these Painted 4th of July Lawn Stars turned out. I was able to line my entire back yard and flower beds with these fun and festive lawn stars, and still had enough left to do something else fun. Now, to decide what it should be…

There is no need to be concerned about your grass. This paint is made for the grass so it will not kill or harm it in any way.

To remove you can just mow the grass! Poof, gone, just like that!

Hope you have a wonderful and safe 4th of July!
