Rainy Day Activities in the Valley!

The rainy season has begun. It is so nice to see these thunderstorms cursing through the valley. But they can also put a damper on some of our summertime outdoor plans. Luckily, we live in a valley that is bursting with things to do!

Candle Making – The Candle Kitchen is the perfect stop on a rainy day. With over 120 different fragrance combinations you will be able to find a scent for everyone! The Candle Kitchen will walk you through the whole process step by step as you choose your container and scents and then later mix them and make the candle.

Bananas Fun Park – You may be wondering why Banana’s Fun Park is on the list for rainy day activities. Especially since half of the things to do at the part take place outside! However, there is still so much fun to be had inside! That’s right, from bouncy houses to laser tag, you and your family will have a blast!

Picture Show Theater – The Picture Show is a great place to spend a rainy day! Especially if it is on a Tuesday as all day Tuesday their tickets are just $6!!

Painting Pottery – We live in the best valley ever! We not only have 1 amazing pottery place…. but 2! That’s right! We have Fat Cat Pottery and Angelo’s Pottery! Both are equally amazing and have lots of great paint and go options!

Painting Pallet – The Palette is a fun way to spend an evening. You arrive to a table set up with everything you will need to create a fun art masterpiece. The instructors are great and there is always fun and laughter to be had at The Palette!

Fruita Rec Center – The Fruita Rec Center is always fun. It never seems to be too crowded and with a pool, fitness center, basketball courts, and an indoor playground. It’s the perfect way to spend a rainy day!

Ice Skating – Glacier Ice Area is a fun way to spend any day! They have the best learn to skate instructors as well as lots of set aside times for open skate! It really is a fun way to spend a rainy day with the family!
