Spring Cleaning Hacks

One positive thing about our current stay at home order is being able to get caught up on spring cleaning and household projects. It has been nice to be able to deep clean our home using some of these great Spring Cleaning Hacks!

1. Home Made Dusting Spray

Dusting Spray is one of the easiest cleaners to make. Plus you probably already have all the ingredients on hand so there is no need to leave the house!

  • 1 cup water
  • 1/4 cup white distilled vinegar
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • 10-15 drops essential oil of choice

Just mix theses ingredients together and pour into a spray bottle and you are good to go. Plus because of the olive oil you might find that you need to dust a little less often then you are used to so that’s a great bonus!

2. DIY Drain Cleaner

Spring Cleaning Hacks

Have a drain that is draining slower then normal? Or do you just want to give your drains a good cleaning? Pour about 1/2 cup baking soda down into your drain and then dump in about 1 cup of vinegar slowly. Let sit for about 20 minutes and then flush by pouring in a large stock pot of boiling water (about a gallon).

3. DIY Kitchen Cabinet Degreaser

It is amazing just how quickly grease can build up on cabinet doors and it is defiantly not a fun thing to try to scrub off. Especially those cupboards right above your stove top. Luckily we have a great tip for you. Just follow the recipe below and you will soon be on your way to squeaky clean cupboard doors!

  • 2 Cups Water
  • 2 TBS Dawn Dish Soap
  • 1 Cup Distilled Vinegar

Just add all ingredients into a spray bottle.

4. Take that funky smell out of clothing!

If you are dealing with funky smells in clothing that you can’t seem to get to go away then I have a trick for you to try.

Next time you need to get rid of a funky scent then just add 1/2 cup baking soda to the load. This will help to neutralize the scents and wash those funky smells away leaving behind a nice, fresh scent.
