St. Patrick’s Day Mason Jar

St. Patrick's Day Mason Jar

St. Patrick’s Day is one of the best days of the year. Can we say Corn Beef & Cabbage? Yum! Another fun aspect of St. Patrick’s Day is decorating your home! If you are looking for some simple farmhouse DIY décor look no further. This St. Patrick’s Day Mason Jar is simple and will add the perfect pop of St. Patrick’s Day to your current décor without going overboard.

Items Needed:

  • Mason Jar
  • Waverly Chalk Paint (celery)
  • Paint Brush
  • Dollar Tree Jute Twine
  • Painters Tape or tape on hand
  • Dollar Tree Foam Shamrock

Start by applying the painters tape to the backside of the shamrock.

Next apply the shamrock to the mason jar

Paint several coats of the Waverly celery chalk paint allowing a lot of time to dry in between or it won’t cover well. Making sure to cover around the shamrock foam shape

Once completely dry, remove foam shamrock and apply jute twine around the top of the jar to desired amount.

For staging purposes I added a piece of tissue paper inside of the jar to make the shamrock stand out more.

See how simple they are? The hardest part is figuring out what to put in the jars once they are complete. Some ideas include flowers and greenery from the Dollar Store, fresh carnations, gold coins, kitchen utensils etc…
