Just because fall is here does not mean we are stuck in the house. There are still plenty of local events that you won’t want to miss! Check out a few of our favorite western slope fall events below!
September 8th in Montrose you can attend Pops in the Park Orchestra & Chorus! It is the ONLY free & outdoor concert that the Valley Symphony puts on. Concert starts at @5pm at their Riverbottom Park!
On September 13th Brandt Tobler and Friends will be at the Ute Theater in Rifle. You might have seen Brandt on his stint on Comedy Central and this show is sure to please.
September 21st is also the date for Montrose’s Oktoberfest! You can head to the Fuoco Motor Car Show in the early morning and hit up Oktoberfest that evening! Oktoberfest starts at 1pm!
On the 26th of September Bill Engvall will be in Grand Junction! It’s sure to be a fun date night idea!
September 27th Sawyer Brown will be playing at Grand Junctions Las Colonias Park!
Palisade’s Fall Harvest Market will begin on October 3rd and will take place every Sunday in October. At the Fall Harvest Market you will be able to find soups & chilies, fall crafts, local produce, and farm fresh products!
Downtown Art Festival October 4-6. This is a great event that not only features all the new art that will be displayed downtown Grand Junction but also has tons of vendors and live music. It’s truly fun for the whole family.
On October 10th you can swing by Rifle‘s Annual Chili Cookoff and try some of the best chili in the west! Doors open at 5:30!
12th of October is the date for Grand Junctions Oktoberfest at Los Colonias Park!
October 12th you can see Coco Montoya at Rifle‘s Ute Theater. Coco is known for his rockin’ blues and has played all around the world.
Truck-N-Treat is Palisades fun Halloween extravaganza for the kiddos. It is held on October 26th this year from 10am -12pm. This event is sure to please the kids with not only candy but also the opportunity to climb aboard many fun trucks!
Downton Grand Junction Spooktacular October 26. The Spooktacular is a great place to take your kiddos to help them celebrate Halloween. Downtown will be filled with candy, costumes and fun activities!
November 15th is a great day to head to Montrose for their 5th Annual Crab Crack. All you can eat Crab for a great cause! No more needs said! yum!
Tree Lighting on November 23rd. Kick off your holiday season with Downton Grand Junction‘s Tree Lighting. You will be awed as Santa sprinkles his magic dust and lights up all of Downtown simultaneously with is Christmas Magic!
Looking for something different? On November 23rd Montrose will also be doing their Tree Lighting at their historical Courthouse. Someone will be reading Twas the Night before Christmas and they will sing carols and have hot chocolate. Following the Tree Lighting you can also visit Santa’s Cabin at the Uncompahgre Event Plaza.
November 25th David Archuleta will be at the Avalon Theatre in Grand Junction again this year. Last year his tickets sold out fast so if you plan on attending this concert you might want to purchase tickets early.
